TIOW Request for Proposals [closed]
Please note TIOW Projects are closed for 2007-09.
Nova Scotia is faced with an aging population. An aging population and aging workforce suggest a decline in the labour force participation rate over time. This is indicated by:
- The growing proportion of the population that is beyond the age at which individuals normally retire
- The demonstrated trend that the working age participation rate declines with age
A way to address these demographic challenges is to encourage increased participation of older workers in the workforce.
In response to Nova Scotia's demographic and labour force challenges, the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Workforce Development is administering a federal-provincial initiative to support Nova Scotia's unemployed older workers called the Targeted Initiative for Older Workers (TIOW). NS Department of Labour and Workforce Development has filled the second Request for Proposals. Please click here for more information on the RFP.
